As someone expecting delivery of their Lucid Air in the coming weeks or months, one thing I am a bit anxious about learning about is the cost of auto insurance for a Lucid Air. It is a topic I’ve been tracking for a while in several threads in the forums, but there is one larger there in the Lucid Owners Forum where many have been posting their Lucid Air insurance premiums since the early delivery days through today (which is still early).
How Much Is Auto Insurance For A Lucid Air?
Of course, the answer is, that it depends. It depends on where you live, how much you drive, what your deductibles are, your age, the trim level of your Lucid Air, your driving history, what insurance company you use, and many more factors.
What Are Lucid Air Owners Paying For Auto Insurance?
Like I said above, it depends. But I’ve seen Lucid Air Dream Edition and Grand Touring owners pay anywhere as low as about $1,200 per year to as much as $8,000 per year.
In the early days, like earlier this year, many insurance companies had no idea what a Lucid Air was. So some folks got pretty good rates because of the confusion over this new car. But I am still seeing that some insurance companies, in some regions, are still offering low rates.
Shop Around
Since there is such a wide variety of insurance rates on the Lucid Air, I would recommend you shop around.
Personally, I have been with the same auto insurance company for the past 20-plus years. I am loyal, so shopping around might be hard for me, but I will make a few phone calls just to be informed and get my auto insurance agent to buckle down and give me the best price for the best coverage for my Lucid Air.
Check out the Lucid Owners Forum for more on what individuals are paying.
