Lucid Air owners, at least some of them, are getting emails from Lucid Motors offering TIDAL HiFi Plus for free for three-months. The email says “enjoy three free months of TIDAL HiFi Plus.” “Take listening to new levels with a three-month free trial of TIDA HiFi Plus. Not only can you access TIDAL’s 80+ million songs,” the email goes on to say.
What Is TIDAL HiFi Plus
TIDAL HiFi Plus is the only service that allows you to listen to music in lossless high fidelity audio, Master Authenticated Quality audio, and immersive audio formats all in one place. A HiFi Plus membership guarantees that you will be first to get the latest updates in sound technology before other members. This is from the TIDAL website over here.
What Does TIDAL HiFi Plus Cost
It costs $19.99 per month for this plan and even without this email, you would get a month free. So it seems Lucid and TIDAL is offering an additional month free. You can see the pricing over here.
There are also promo codes you can find floating around the web with free three-months without having to buy a Lucid Air. It also seems the Tesla offers this to their customers as well as other companies.
Why TIDAL HiFi Plus With The Lucid Air
Every auto maker talks about how amazing their audio system is and the same is true for Lucid Motors on their web site. In fact, a year ago, Lucid Motors said it was the first vehicle to integrate Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos lets listeners connect with music at its fullest creative potential – not the way most people hear music today, but a version that pulls you into a song to reveal what was lost with traditional stereo recordings. It brings music to life by providing artists an expanded palette that can be used to express their creativity in an entirely new way. When combined with the Surreal Sound system, Dolby Atmos will deliver an unprecedented listening experience that will transform music listening in your car.
So the Lucid Air can support such a system and we’ve posted reports about the sound quality in the Lucid Air.
Does TIDAL HiFi Plus Work With The Lucid Air?
Apparently the TIDAL HiFi Plus does not work fully with the Lucid Air. It seems as if the Lucid restricts use to just high and not plus according to Travis Morgan, a Lucid Air owner:
I wish we could actually stream HiFi in the car. I reached out to @LucidMotors to try and see why they limit streaming quality to “High”.

Yes that’s fine. You can play Dolby Atmos via tidal but the quality is limited to “High”. There are 4 tiers, Normal, High, HiFi, and Master.
