There are some Lucid Air owners who are noticing that the estimated range projections are improving as they drive the car. After over 1,000 miles have been put on the car, the range estimator is showing large improvements to what the car thinks you can get on a single charge.
A Lucid Owners Forums thread has one customer who said after he hit 1,050 miles on the odometer, the range estimator “went from 2.8-2.9 highway and 2.5 around town to 3.7-3.8 combined.” He said this was a “shockingly large improvement.”
Another Lucid owner posted in that thread ” I juts completed 1000 miles on my GT after a 450 miles Boston to NYC trip and now suddenly I’m getting a LOT better range!! Like it jumped from 2.5 to 3.8 today!”
Supposedly a Lucid Motors customer care representatives are telling some customers that after a couple of thousand miles with the Lucid Air, the range would improve a lot as the algorithm learned your driving habits.
I guess this makes sense, even my gas car does this over time with the average miles per gallon metrics.
