A Lucid Air Dream Edition owner posted a photo of his front windshield on Twitter last night. As you can see, it has a nice size chip in the full glass canopy. He said “small rock flying at 75 MPH on 5 S decided to pick on me.”
We have probably all experienced this happen in our cars and you’d call a company like Safelite AutoGlass to come to your home or office and swap it out – normally something fully coverage by auto insurance. But with this, I doubt Safelite has this material.
So he is going to Lucid Motors to get it fixed, although, I assume Lucid Motors would come out to you to fix it. I do wonder how the process goes and if Lucid swaps out the whole piece of glass or tries to glue a fix?
I’ll update this story as I see more from @baddriver20202 on his experience.
